Apartment Living: 7 Home Items You Didn’t Know You Needed

Living in our own apartment has taught me a lot of things, including what I can live with and without. Today we’re going to be talking about the latter. DSC_7880Storage bags have been a huge space saver in our apartment. I can’t believe it took me this long to figure out how useful they really are. I normally store my out-of-season clothes in bins, but using storage bags is so much better. I highly recommend it.DSC_7903This might be a TMI item, but everyone uses the bathroom. There are plenty of expensive toilet sprays out there, but this one right here costs just $1 at the Dollar Tree. DSC_7902This Lazy Susan is one of the best finds from IKEA. It turns 360 degrees, so it’s perfect for serving food on during dinner. DSC_7886My mother-in-law blessed us with this over-the-sink light after I mentioned wanting something like this in our kitchen. It’s amazing how much it brightens up the kitchen, which is especially handy while doing the dishes or cutting up produce. DSC_7889Another great find from IKEA is this mail organizer. We were able to label each slot to organize our mail, cook books, coupons and miscellaneous documents. DSC_7899It’s really easy to lose remotes when there are so many of them, so I took this box that a gift came in and repurposed it to store our remotes in our living room. They fit perfectly. DSC_7896This Sensor Brite LED light is one of the best As Seen on TV products I have ever bought, and I love it. When my husband and I leave out of the apartment and know it’s going to be dark when we come back, we cut this on. It’s motion censored, so it automatically cuts on when we come home.
