I have been itching to walk along the path of the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. and smell their captivating aroma. Yesterday was the day to embark on the journey.

I smile as I am able to take in the luster that the city has to offer.

My love joins in on the fun as he acts as a renowned photographer snapping shots of me as I grin from ear-to-ear.

The sun peeks through the trees and glistens on the waterfront.

People walk by or take a stroll on a bike as the wind blows swiftly.

The blossoms embrace me in a hug as I pose alongside.

The trip would not be complete without a pose near the monument and taking a moment to reflect on the historical landmarks of the city.

Even the beautiful creatures, such as this brown pelican, flock nearby.

The sun begins to set, and the day is slowly coming to an end.

I reflect on the amazing time spent and look forward to the next return.
