The world is in an uproar — an outcry. I have seen countless posts on social media in anger and sadness and many emotions about what is going on today. People are afraid. They are afraid that they could be next. They are afraid that if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong thing, they will be no more. They are afraid that they will be seen brutally murdered on television, Facebook and the like. They are afraid that they will become another hashtag for a short while until things go “back to normal” or people forget.
I am open about my faith and who I believe in, and if you do not believe in God, I get it, but I know this to be true. We can not live in fear. We have to stand up for what is right. Some people might want to deny it or revoke it, but we are living in a troubling time, and it is only going to get worse. However, it’s how we live while we are here that is important. We have to start lifting each other up and praying for the communities that we are in. This nation has gotten so far from the foundation that our forefathers built it on.
What ever happen to saying that you were going to be there and pray for someone while meaning and doing it?
What happened to being constructive instead of biting each others heads off?
You are just one person, but one person can make a difference.
One bad fruit can spoil the whole bunch. However, planting a good seed can grow a multitude. This world is temporary. The possessions that we hold are temporary. The life that you live is temporary, but what you make with the time you have here on earth is what’s essential.
We as a people have to come to God. He is the truth. The foundation for a good life. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave his only son. He sacrificed so much in order for us, a broken and twisted world, to have salvation.
I know many will disregard this and brush it off, but even if I can reach one, I believe that I have made a difference. We all have a voice and are able to spread whatever energy we want, and I choose to spread love. Jesus is love. I could be here one more day or until I am 100-years-old. You never know, but are you ready? Can you say that you know where you are going when your time on earth is over? Just a thought.
