If the weekends were the weekdays

Monday would bring elation and excitement for days ahead

Restless eyes and moody feelings would be put to bed

If the weekends were the weekdays

A days work  would bring about productivity and drive

Because two days pass and you’d get to rest for five

If the weekends were the weekdays

Many wouldn’t be afraid to dream

And do the things that always seemed

Difficult or out of reach because of a busy life

More time would permit and push out all the strife

If the weekends were the weekdays

And all these things were true

We would all be better off

At least I think so; how about you?
