My Fall DIY Decor

Now that Fall is in full swing, I thought it would only be fitting to add a few extra touches to my room decor. While there are many ready-made items you can buy from the store, I don’t like to spend a lot on seasonal decor.

That’s where the dollar store comes in handy.

For today’s DIY, you will need:

  1. Fake leaves
  2. A jar with a lid
  3. A fake tea candle
  4. Scissors

With these four items, you will have an affordable decor piece for autumn. I only made one, but you could do a bunch and place them all around your house.

Let’s get started!
SaveIMG_2079.JPGIMG_2087To start, I cut each leaf off of their stem and placed them into the jar. There’s really no rhyme or reason to this, but I tried to mix and match the leaves to have a variation of colors and shapes. I also made sure to buy two different-looking bunches, so keep that in mind when you’re shopping. IMG_2089IMG_2092IMG_2093IMG_2098One set of leaves came with an acorn, and I think that added a woodsy feel.IMG_2104After you’ve filled your jar most of the way, it’s time for the tea candle. I tried to arrange the leaves around the candle so that it was in the middle but still visible. IMG_2106Once you’ve arranged it the way you like, you’re all done. It doesn’t get much easier than that.IMG_2109IMG_2111IMG_2112IMG_2116IMG_2120.JPGSave
