Now that Fall is in full swing, I thought it would only be fitting to add a few extra touches to my room decor. While there are many ready-made items you can buy from the store, I don’t like to spend a lot on seasonal decor.
That’s where the dollar store comes in handy.
For today’s DIY, you will need:
- Fake leaves
- A jar with a lid
- A fake tea candle
- Scissors
With these four items, you will have an affordable decor piece for autumn. I only made one, but you could do a bunch and place them all around your house.
Let’s get started!
To start, I cut each leaf off of their stem and placed them into the jar. There’s really no rhyme or reason to this, but I tried to mix and match the leaves to have a variation of colors and shapes. I also made sure to buy two different-looking bunches, so keep that in mind when you’re shopping.
One set of leaves came with an acorn, and I think that added a woodsy feel.
After you’ve filled your jar most of the way, it’s time for the tea candle. I tried to arrange the leaves around the candle so that it was in the middle but still visible.
Once you’ve arranged it the way you like, you’re all done. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
