In a season of uncertainty, how can I not be afraid? In a time where the world is at odds, how can I not feel scared and at a lost for words? Having Christ in my life doesn’t change those feelings because I am human just like anyone else. And being a person who is always prepared and in control, the feeling of being uncertain is hard for me.
But what I’ve come to realize in my walk with God is that what we can’t see is more important than what we can see. That’s what faith is: believing in the unknown.
“But how do we get to that level of faith when there are so many obstacles in front of us?” you might ask.
- You have to accept the fact that you are not in control.
- You have to lay your burden at the feet of God.
- You have to speak life over your situation, even when you don’t believe it.
- You have to ask God for what you need.
All of these steps allow you to pivot your focus from what is wrong to the divine source of healing: God. And while the situation may not change, you will begin to walk with a boldness in who you serve.
God has never failed me before, so I can confidently say that He won’t fail me now.
Here’s something to encourage you in this unsettling time:
