It feels like National Novel Writing Month flew by because it’s halfway through. The last time I spoke to you, the manuscript was around 25,000 words. Now, it’s at roughly 32,000 words. I started Nano with a 19,000-word manuscript, which means I’ve added 13,000 words in just two weeks. I’m super proud of myself for that.

I’m a few thousand words behind where I wanted to be at this point, but I’m technically a Nano Rebel anyway. So, I’ll embrace not sticking to the same number every day. Just recently, I wrote almost 3,000 words in a day, so if I do that again, I should be able to get 50,000 words by the end of Nano.
There’s a couple of events and holidays I have coming up that might stop me from writing as much as I want to, but I’m taking this one day at a time. The key to sticking it out is perseverance. Now that the initial excitement of Nano is gone, I have to stay focused and continuing to power through the “Dreaded Middle.”
I have two other authortube channels I want to share with you this week: Sarah Sutton and Autumn Ashleigh. I have enjoyed both of their writing sprints and vlogs about their NanoWriMo journeys.
Until next week, I hope you stay focused and get all the words!
