Happy Birthday, Jesus! Because of you I have eternal life. Because of you I am free from the bondage of my insecurities and doubts. You are the reason that I believe in love. You are the perfect example of what true love is. You sacrificed your life so that I could live mine. The creator of the world loves me so much that He gave me the greatest gift I could ever ask for. He gave me a chance to receive eternal life, and that chance is available to any and everyone who believes.

On this Christmas Day, take the time to thank God for the best blessing that has ever touched the earth. Through constant internal and external battles in my life, I know one thing to be true. I have a God that loves me unconditionally. I have been unsure about a lot of things, and it hasn’t always been easy, but I am grateful to have Jesus. And I am even more grateful that He hasn’t given up on me when I’ve given up on myself.

In those moments where I haven’t loved who I am and the life that I’ve been living, He has stuck around and continued to stick by me through everything. I don’t deserve it. None of us do. But God is a good and loving God. He’s a God of second, third, fourth, fifth… chances. Jesus, you are the reason I still have hope.

Happy Birthday, Jesus! It is only because of you that I am free.
