Tried and True Recipe #6: Pineapple Fusion Juice

With the new year in full swing, health kicks are at an all-time high. However, I’ve created one of the easiest juice recipes you can be sure to follow throughout the entire year, even after the novelty of being healthy has worn off.

So, come on, dust off your juicer and let’s get juicing.

For this recipe, you’ll need 1 pineapple, 1 large cucumber and three Meyer lemons.DSC_5580-1
Just peel and cut the pineapple and cucumber and simply peel the lemons. No need to cut the lemon. You want to keep as much of the juice in there as possible.dsc_5590
Some people leave the skin on the cucumber and lemon while juicing, but I like to remove that. I find that by peeling these, you get a smoother, less tart juice.DSC_5594.JPG
Once your fruits and veggies are prepped, you’ll want to begin juicing as normal. The juicer that I use is a Fusion Juicer, which was gifted to me by my lovely boyfriend. Any juicer will work, of course, but this one is great if you’re looking to buy one. It’s pretty easy to assemble and use, and it comes with a handy brush for cleaning the blades.dsc_5599
After your juice is all squeezed out, you’ll get a colorful green and yellow mixture that looks beautiful. I like to mix it up and run it through a strainer to get rid of the extra foam at the top, but that’s completely optional.dsc_5603
Pour it into your desired container and enjoy!dsc_5609
Pro tip: Store it in a glass container to keep it fresh longer. Though, if you’re like me, it won’t last that long.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 3 Meyer lemons
