This month is Camp NaNoWriMo, which happens in April and July. It’s a less intense version of NaNoWriMo, where us writers come together to work on any writing project we want.

This is my first time participating, and so far so good. My loose goal (I say loose because while it would be great to have this done, I’m not putting as much pressure on myself as I did during NaNoWriMo) is to finish my novel in its entirety.
Right now, my book is around 63,000. At first I thought the book would be complete at roughly 65,000 words, but it may be longer than that at around 70,000. We’ll see. For now, I have my goal set at 9,000 words for the month. That could change if the book is shy of or surpasses that word count.
I’m excited to see what the end shapes up to be, but I’m getting there. Like I’ve said before, I’m learning to enjoy the process. So, cheers to hopefully finishing the novel by the end of the month!
Let me know what you’re working on as well!
